This farm is located in Northern Uganda about 45 kilometers
from Karuma falls. It is strategically located along Karuma-Pakwach highway and
approximately 3 kilometers from Agung in Nwoya district.
While at the falls, you can hear the water of Murchison
falls thus after hiking on the top of the falls; you will get rest at the farm,
appreciating nature. During the Lord Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency, this farm
was very big and used to act as a basket of Nwoya County at the time. In 2008
however, after the recession of the war, the forum was reopened and its yet on
the path to full recovery. At the moment, accommodation facilities are not yet
in a place but plans are underway to put them place.
Today, the farm offers an
agro-tourism including; bird watching, nature walks and community participation
in agricultural best practices, eco-tourism and cultural exchange. Assessing
the farm as a tourism destination, We can use Butter’s the tourism destination model
and assess it to be in the involvement stage.
The owner of the farm provides
accommodation and he himself acts as a guide and provides food and transport
