How To Book a Gorilla Habituation Permit in Uganda?

The age requirement required for Gorilla Habituation Experience In Uganda.

In order to qualify to qualify for a gorilla habituation permit in Bwindi Impenetrable forest at Rushaga area, you are required to be having a minimum of 15 years. Of course this very normal since this is the same thing which applies to gorilla trekking in Uganda. Below the age of 15 years, you are not allowed to go for tracking or apply for gorilla permit. Automatically you will not be given the permits in case you are below this age. This age will be indicated on your passport, thus there is no way you can deceive your age. It will be based on the age as indicated in your permit that the age will be assessed so that you can be given the gorilla habituation permit.

What is the price of obtaining a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda?

Just like any other tourism activity in Uganda, you will be required to pay.  To obtain the gorilla habituation experience permit at Rushaga area of Bwindi Forest national park, you will have to pay a fee of 1,500 USD. This fee is supposed to be paid by each person who is going to experience the habituation process in Bwindi Forest national park at Rushaga. To obtain this gorilla habituation experience, you will be required to book through a genuine company. This must be during any working day of the week. You  note that this price is different from the gorilla trekking fee. For the gorilla trekking fee, you need to pay USD 600 so that you can be able to obtain a gorilla permit. The similarity however is that the fee has to be paid to Uganda Wildlife Authority and both permits are issued by the same body.

For you to successfully obtain the gorilla habituation experience, you must book in advance for the gorilla habituation permits. One of the major reasons for this is that very few participants are allowed each day to view the gorillas. In addition to this, you need to understand that there are many visitors to Uganda who come purposely for this activity. You should be in position to give information pertaining your passport.  It is only that you have surrendered the information which is displayed in side your passport that a permit for gorilla habituation experience will be processed for you.

The money you pay for the gorilla habituation experience will include park entrance fees. This fee is for one day gorilla habituation experience in the park. For gorilla habituation experience, a number of 4 members are required for each group while for gorilla trekking, 8 members are allowed for viewing each group.
