Mountain gorilla tracking guidelines in Uganda or Rwanda

What is required of you when gorilla trekking.
You will be told by your guide on the day of tracking the do and don’ts during the gorilla expedition in the jungle.  You need to keep a distance of approximately 6 to 7 meters away from the endangered mountain gorillas. This distance is equivalent to 15 feet, thus you have to keep 15 feet way from the mountain gorillas. Keeping away from the endangered mountain gorillas will protect them from acquiring disease which you might be suffering from.
Why   it is necessary to keep a distance from the mountain gorillas?
Keeping a distance from the endangered mountain gorillas will help protect these apes from contagious diseases and any illness by human beings.  Remember you might be attacked by flu during your trip, which may also affect the mountain gorillas in the long run.
Am I supposed to behave when encountering the mountain gorillas?
When you are encountering the mountain gorillas, you will have to keep your distance very to avoid disturbing the mountain gorillas. You can also opt to keep silent until you are well out of range of the endangered mountain gorillas. During this time of tracking the gorillas, you are required to stare very straight into the mountain gorillas eyes since this can be seen as very aggressive.
When you have confronted the mountain gorillas are you want to sneeze, you are advised to  turn your head away from the gorillas so as you do not spread your germs. You are not supposed to flash your camera because photography is not permitted. If you are allowed to take pictures, then you advised to keep very calm and you should not touch or attempt to touch the gorillas.
 Gorilla trekking health guidelines.
The endangered mountain gorillas are closely related to human beings. Since they   resemble human beings, then they are very susceptible to many of the diseases affected by human beings. Inside you, if you feel you are not feeling well, and then you are advised to tell the guide to remove you from the tracking team as you can easily collapse during the trekking.  In case you want to cough, then you will turn your head to blow or sneeze your nose. You should move your head away from the gorilla in order to keep the risk of infection to a minimum.

When am I supposed to eat during gorilla trekking expedition?
You are not supposed to eat in the presence of the endangered mountain gorillas. You should also not smoke or drink any beverage. All these are totally not allowed within the presence of the mountain gorillas. In case you are ill, and then you should cancel the gorilla trekking expedition to avoid inconveniences which might be caused inconveniences.
Please remember that the guidelines which were put there for gorilla trekking were put there primarily to protect the endangered mountain gorillas. Basically, for you to enjoy this safari and make it a memorable one, you should follow these guidelines. These guidelines do apply whether you are tracking in Rwanda or Uganda. The main purpose of putting in place these tracking guidelines was to conserve the mountain gorillas since they are an endangered species. It is also done so because of your safety.
