Where is Ishasha Sector?
This sector is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the largest savannah park in Savanah and was named after the queen of England; Queen Elizabeth. Apart from the tree climbing lions, the park has got a number other wildlife including elephants, hippos, buffalos, birds and lions which are not tree climbing lions. The roads within the park are well demarcated and is a good provision for game drives within the park which will make you view a number of wildlife when you are the park. The Ishasha sector is internationally recognized for tree climbing lions. Internationally, the Isasha sector is well known for the tree climbing lions. It is well known that this sector is part of Queen Elizabeth National park. The male lions in this park have got black manes. Usually the visitors who visit the Queen Elizabeth National park do go up the Ishasha sector to view the tree climbing lions in this area. This sector is located in the southern part of the park and it is approximately two hours drive from Mweya where the park headquarters are found. Within the whole park, it is the only place where you will trace and see the tree climbing lions. Indeed the tree climbing lions are a resident of this area.
