The 4×4 is a spectacular and a convenient way of
solving a car rental disasters in Uganda. In most cases, this is most
achievable if one gets in contact with the most reliable and convenient rental
company within Uganda. Sometimes, it is not always possible to avoid a bad
experience. You are advised to take a few precautions while ensuring proper
follow ups. As a client, ensure that when you are booking, it is done before
the final day of your trip because, car rental prices tend to hike as it is
getting closer to the pickup date. Usually, the prices actually work on a
simple supply and demand system and they go up as availability goes down.
Though there are a number of car rental companies in Uganda which can be
accessed online, a few must be trusted. In most cases, the information provided
by some of these companies is very misleading with confusing search of prices
and even car types. You are advised to avoid such a mess. This can be done
through the following steps, which have to be followed with a keen interest.

simply explore Kampala, Entebbe and Jinja city while driving a rental car from

In Uganda, the nature of the roads is not good.
The roads in the country most especially those leading to and connecting to
major national parks like Bwindi Impenetrable National park are quite in a poor
situation and sometimes impassable. This mainly during the rainy season, thus,
in such scenarios, a 4×4 vehicle is recommended. There are speed limits on most
of the high ways. You are required to carefully read the road signs and
highways and observe speed limits. Usually, speed limits is 70 -100 km /hour.
In most trading centers, you will drive 30-50 km per hour and if you are
driving an automatic transmission on a marrum then over drive must be off.
Frequently, it is not advised to drive at night
since in most parts of the country, roads are not marked and there is no
security lights on roads. You are advised to check the water level in the
Radiator at least every 2 days. Hiring a park ranger is advisable. In case you
are taking game drive in Uganda national Parks for the first time, you are
advised to hire a ranger guide who is knowledgeable about the routes where to
find animals in the park.
