Tourists who come to the Kampala have been over whelmed by the city.  Presently the city have got a number of numerous arcades which provide a good avenue for shopping.  There are also numerous supermarkets which have been set up all over the city with modern parking space. This provides parking for the customers who come to shop in these supermarkets. There are modern toilet facilities within the city which have been set up by Kampala Capital City Authority. They have been maintained cleaned with toilet papers inside and water. When you go to down town, there have been new structures which have been set up to replace the old structures. There are new structures where you can go and do shopping down town.

Places to Visit when you are in Kampala

You can visit shopping malls when you are spread   all over the city.  You will also visit many local restaurants within the city which will offer you local dishes prepared within the country. Of course you cannot miss taste matooke, a traditional food for the natives of Kampala, the Buganda people. This will be served to you with chicken of G, nut source or meat. What a wonderful meal for you to have when you are seated in a restaurant in Uganda.

If you are the type of person who like parting, visiting entertainment centers like clubs or bars, there are many of these in Kampala city. The most notable clubs you will come across are club silk, club Angenor, Ambiance club, Nyongo among the others. There are also outstanding bars located in Kampala suburbs. Many of these are found in places like Kasanga, Kabalagala, Nakulabye, Ntinda, Bugolobi, Makindye, Kireka and Bweyogere among the other places.

In case you like to relax while you seeing water, you will visit Kabaka’s lake. It is located a few meters away from the city center. It also provides   tourism activities including bird watching, photography and scenic viewing. There are boats on the lake, thus you can participate in a simple boat ride when you are at the park.

In case you like religious places and you wished to visit religious places, there are many of these found within the city. The most notable ones you will visit are; Namirembe Cathedral, the most outstanding worship center for Anglicans, Rubaga cathedral, the outstanding worship center for Catholics and Gadafi mosque, the most outstanding worship place for Moslems. Other places of worship you will visit include, Christ the king which is located in the city center. This is a worship center for Catholics. There is all Saints Cathedral in Nakasero. This is a worship place for Anglicans. In case you are a born again and you wished to worship, there watoto down town church. This is located along Kampala road with main services being held on Sunday from morning to sun set.

In case you are in the city center and you are interested to   know some of the experiences of the natives, well you will visit Kasubi tombs. This where the kings (Kabakas) of Buganda are burried. The site has been under construction but now it is ready for visiting. When you reach the site, there is a guide who will take you through the site as he will be explaining to you most of the things about the site.

You will visit Ndere troop.  In this place, you will experience very unique African traditional dances and music, where you will enjoy a fusion of performances from several Ugandan tribes. Most of these cultural dances belong to the Bantu and Luo groups. At Ndere troupe, there are very well trained dancers and they do perform every Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays.
