What You Should Avoid During A self Drive In Uganda.

Self drive in Uganda has taken new twist in recent times. Many people   who are travelling to Uganda do not wish to travel in public vehicles but rather private cars or cars which have been rented. These cars are rented from several companies which are found within the country and these can be obtained online or visiting offices directly. Cars offered for renting budget cars to luxury cars. Luxury cars are used for special occasions like weddings while budget cars can be used for city tours that is visiting tourism attractions within the city. Before you rent a car in Uganda, you should specify the type of transmission you wish to use that is either manual or automatic transmission. Present a valid driving permit to you’re the company you are going to rent the form and also sign the agreements as required by you from the company you are renting the car from. This will establish trust between you the renter and the rental company. Do not hesitate to rent a car since Uganda has got the best of these cars being offered for renting any time you wish to rent. It will only depend on your pockets as it regards to the type of savings, whether huge savings or small savings. When your savings are huge, you will go for   cars of higher class and when your savings are low, you will go for lower class. This therefore means that the type of saving will determine the type of car you will rent during your safari in Uganda.

Things people engaged in self-drive in Uganda should avoid.

To have a successful self drive in Uganda, you should avoid driving too much, you should choose the suitable car, always be happy when you in the car, have a clear sense on where you are going after avoid driving in the dark.

In most case people during the safari prefer driving too far in only a day. This is not health because the vehicle might break down. Of course it very possible for you to travel a very long distance in the car, though the challenge will come  that   the car might not be  fit that day to drive extra distances than that which  has been prescribed by the car owner or the company you are renting the car from.

Always chose a standard car for your safari or tour when you are in the country. The standard car to rent in Uganda is Sedan car which very similar to a Corolla. This type of car will also take you to very far places within the country and also very easy trips when you are in the country.  However, 4X4 car is the most recommendable type of car to rent during your safari or tour in Uganda. It is strong and very convenient for you to drive or to be driven.

During your self-drive in Uganda, be more adventurous. Presently, the roads in the country are fairly in good condition.  Most of the roads in Uganda are tarmac roads and this means that they good for you to drive on. Be too adventurous when you are driving on these roads. Being tarmced means that the attractions within the country are easily accessed. In case you are driving in some of the remote areas in the country and your vehicle breaks down, you need to be very comfortable when you are changing the wheel of the car you are driving. Of course this calls   for some skills. You need to have extra skills apart from driving skills. You need to know how to fix the car wheels at least to avoid embarrassments when you are in remote areas.

You will be required to have a clear understanding on where you are going to avoid being taken to destinations which are not of your choice. Always have a clue of the destination you are being taken too.  In the car you have rented, there are GPS which do cover or locate areas you wish to travel too when you are in the car. You can also use atlas maps to locate areas where you wish to travel too.

Lastly for your self-drive to be successful in Uganda, you should drive in the dark or after it has become dark. You should consider than driving in the dark is not only risk but also will take much of your time on the road. This in turn will lead to long driving times for your journey when you are in the country.
