Tips of driving a rented car in Uganda national parks and game reserves

Driving slowly is one of the most important safety driving tips while in the park and this not only applies to the park but to all destinations and roads. In all Ugandan parks, you will be required to drive at a speed of 40 km per hour and this will avoid collisions with animals or car flips including other good things about driving slow is that you also get a chance to spot a variety of species which you could have missed when over speeding.

You are advised to travel early. In Africa, Uganda in particular, you are  required to get  up as early as 6am as this offers you a chance to spot  very early risers and other wildlife going to hibernate after a nights hunt. In Uganda, all the national parks open gets at 7 am and most lodges serve their breakfast as early as 6 am and this ensures that you get on the tracks by 7 am.  If you   on a road trip, forget about waking up very late and this calls upon you to wake up by 6 to spot the plenty of wildlife and if you very lucky you will see the sunrise from the beautiful park landscapes. You are advised to get a safari guide before yourself drive trip might be a cheaper and private option but when you do not know the game tracks and the best route to take, you will always find problems of exploring any park. During this drive, you may not need any one to drive you to the park though it is always advisable to hire a guide once you reach the park.

Always avoid Night game drives .While in the park driving, you should always avoid driving through the night in the jungle since this might seem like a thrilling adventure and still one of the most dangerous venture. During the night game drives you may disturb the peace of the wild animals which are always resting in the night and also get chances of colliding with an animal is very high.

You should keep on the track. You are advised always to keep on the available track when you are driving through the park so as to avoid any accidents and any un wanted fines. All the tracks in the park will offer you nice views of the wildlife and the landscapes. There is no need to get off the road and enter the virgin territories and one of the most important park rules should be followed with extreme caution to avoid any problems.
While in the park, you are not allowed to blow the car horn .You should always avoid blowing the horn when you are inside the park since this can scare away animals which will eventually kill your chance of seeing wildlife animals. You should always try to shout out them instead of blowing the horn.
